676 Lorne Scots Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps



: C7 Training and Familiarization

(For Qualified Silver Star Cadets and above only)

Event Details:

A 1 day trip to to Winona Range is planned for Silver Star qualified Cadets and above.  Cadets will spend the morning training with the C7 Rifle and firing the weapon at the range,  Cadets must also complete the C7 familiarization.


Instruction will be provided by Instructors from the Lorne Scots PH&D Primary Reserve Regiment.  Lunch and transportation will be provided.


This is an optional Cadet event. You are requested to review the letter of consent and release of liability information before completing the form(s) listed below.

Qualifications to participate in This Event:

  1. Completed the Air Rifle handling instruction and test
  2. Silver Star qualified, Gold Star or Master Cadet

      3.   Complete the C7 weapon familiarization on 6 June


Timings:

 Tuesday 6 June C7 familiarization   

   1915 arrive at the Armoury

   2100 dismissed


Saturday 10 June

    0600 Cadets arrive at the Armoury

    0615 bus departs for Winona Range

    1300 bus departs from Winona Range

    1400 Arrive at the Armoury


Kit List:

Cadets must bring the following items:

  1. FTU’s MUST be worn for both the exercise and the familiarization
  2. Properly dressed for the weather
  3. Sunscreen
  4. Sunglasses
  5. Water

Saturday 27 May


Event Details:

A 1 day trip to Canada's Wonderland is being planned for Saturday 27 May. Cadets are responsible for their own lunches, dinner and snacks.  Transportation by charter bus. Cadets with a valid seasons pass for Canada's Wonderland may attend this event for free with their seasons pass.


Cadets will receive a wrist band for early entry at 0900, 1 hour ahead of the public opening of the park.  There are a limited number of wristbands available and they will be issued day of the event based on the order cadets return their completed permission forms
