676 Lorne Scots Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps
Optional PADI Certified SCUBA Training

Dates: 7 & 8 April & 5 & 6 May
Classroom and practical experience with dive equipment in a 10 foot deep pool allows students to complete the instruction portion leading to open water dive certification. Course includes 16 hours of instruction and dives with a certified dive master during a consecutive Friday night Saturday and Sunday in April.
Price includes all written course material and use of dive equipment. Students must provide their own snorkel, mask fins and dive boots. Course material will be provided to Cadets in early March.
Classroom instruction location: to be announced
Open water certification to be held in May and is included in the fee. Final certification consists of 4 dives to a depth of 30 feet to be conducted over one weekend. Certification is good for life. Cadets must be medically fit and be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes. Cadets will be tested on these skills prior to the in water portion of the course
Open Water Certification location: to be announced
This course is limited to Red Star Cadets and above. Parents may participate based on available space with Cadets having priority. Parents must submit or have a valid VSS police check on file prior to March 1st.
